Most insurance companies, employers, and government programs favor outpatient surgery centers because the costs are usually much lower than those found in hospital settings. Those lower costs often mean lower costs for you, especially if you will be responsible for part of your surgery fees.
For example, Medicare patients having cataract surgery in a hospital surgery center are responsible for $300-$500 in coinsurance NOT covered by Medicare. Here the coinsurance amount is approximately $200.
Major Insurance plans such as the following are always accepted by our Center: Medicare (including Railroad Medicare) and Medicaid, Aetna, Blue Cross/Blue Shield, CIGNA, Humana, and United HMO & PPO plans.
We also accept most other types of insurance; from AARP to Zenith, including automobile coverage, Letters of Protection cases, Workers' Compensation cases, Health Care District of Palm Beach County, VA Medical Center referrals, and most self-insured patients after financial arrangements have been made.
Because our relationships with insurers are updated frequently, we suggest you confirm coverage with your insurance plan by calling the customer service number on your insurance card or visiting your plan's website.
